GARRETT ANDERSON

Bio / Profile
Garrett Anderson is a writer, director, and award winning poet who lives in Portland, Oregon. He deployed as an infantryman with First Battalion Third Marines to The Second Battle of Fallujah,Iraq in 2004 and to the Kunar province of Afghanistan in 2006.
His feature length documentary The November War
is available on Amazon Prime and features interviews with members of his former platoon who recall their deadliest day of fighting through the Second Battle of Fallujah and captures their dynamic perspectives regarding that deployment years after returning home. Garrett has completed a screenplay set in Fallujah and is working on a fictional novel about Marines deploying to Afghanistan.
Garrett earned a B.A. in history from Portland State University on the GI Bill. He resides with his wife and young son.
